Laser fine cutting
The minimal heat affected zone facilitates cutting of very fine features in temperature-sensitive materials, e.g. Nitinol. Nearly all cutting geometries are feasible – including cutting edges at an angle. The high quality of the cutting edges – with almost no burrs, edge hardening or taper very significantly reduces the need for post-processing. The major benefits of laser fine cutting are high speed and high productivity compared to competing mechanical chemical, and erosion processes.
