Desktop
Finer Welds
The Desktop is the smallest and most cost-efficient
model of the successful manual welding systems series. A compact, low-cost
and multi-purpose manual welding laser which was designed to fulfil
the specific requirements of dental laboratories, workshops and
institutes. It is an ergonomically optimised desktopsized laser
system. The laser achieves excellent results in the precise welding
of electronic components, in precision mechanics as well as in the
design and repair work of jewellery and also in the production and
repair of crowns and bridges in dental industry. It is the optimum
system for producing medical devices, instruments and implants.
Ergonomic and Stylish
The Desktop was designed for optimum ergonomics. Placed on a normal
working table, it offers relaxed seating and arm positions, a readily
accessible working chamber, a clear, easily readable display and
simple operator interface. So even welding filigree jewellery, it
is not tiring to use. Only few simple maintenance actions are required.
The system is aircooled and only requires a 230 V power supply.
Additional protective measures are not necessary.
What could be easier
After only a short practice period the user is able to make the
finest welds with diameters below 300 µm up to 2 mm, weld
complete seams or deposit filler material. Reproducible welding
results can be achieved by perfected laser technology and simple
positioning of the workpiece via stereo microscope and cross hair.
Process parameters can comfortably be set, stored and recalled either
via membrane keyboard or joysticks in the working chamber.
Power Enough
The rated average power of the laser is 30 W at a pulse peak power
of up to 3,5 kW. Pulse frequencies of 10 Hz max. and pulse widths
of up to 20 ms can be set. Enough pulse energy for spot, seam and
contact welding of almost all metals. The efficiency and reliability
of the StarWeld Manual Desktop opens up new applications in job-shopping
and prototype manufacture, for repair work and in small batch production.
The manual welding lasers of the StarWeld Manual series have already
convinced more than 3,500 users. Try one yourself!
