In order to be able to always offer the customer the optimum solution in state-of-the-art technology, Baasel Lasertech have their own laser, control technology and software development departments. These develop new product solutions, or test and optimize the latest technological innovations, and integrate them in current production. Modern controller concepts, based on industry-standard bus architectures with customer-friendly interfaces permit flexible solutions. User-specific offerings range from compact mini-displays through PC-based solutions with intuitive graphical interface, to direct communication with customers' host systems.

Optical excitation units, based on various pumping concepts, are integrated in laser resonators optimized for the respective application. The laser sources can be combined with a multitude of beam-guidance components, such as optical fibers, mirror systems and deflector heads, which are monitored and controlled by the control technology. Individual system components are either purchased from leading suppliers, or developed in house, in order to ensure optimum coordination within the system as a whole.

These development departments are in continual contact with a department for product-oriented process development, in which the interaction of laser beam and material are systematically studied. New materials and applications thus immediately give rise to the development of new products, and lead directly to optimized laser and control solutions.
