Scalpels

Scalpels are usually made of a special stainless steel that is not suitable for punching in its hardened state. Punching is performed in a pre-hardened state, and manufacturing is a therefore a sequence of processes. Here, laser cutting offers an attractive alternative, as hard materials present no difficulties. And because retooling is so fast, many different forms can be processed within a very short time.
