The Open Bench is an open laser workstation for welding long components like endoscopes. The system comprises a z-axis and motor-driven rotary axis as well as a tilt-adjustable optical system allowing to process any workpiece diameter from almost any angle. The laser source guarantees high pule-to-pulse stability and avoids first-pulse behavior which is important especially in the medical device technology for creating smooth seams on thin-walled tubes. The user panel of the open bench can be removed and can be positioned on the desk. Camera viewing system with display can be supplied as an option.
