ROFIN’s new reel-to-reel solutions for processing thin films on flexible foils combine ROFIN’s expertise gained in more than 1,000 lasers installed in the photovoltaic industry and approximately 150 reel-to-reel systems delivered worldwide into different industries.
The new, highly customizable roll-to-roll system handles step & repeat processes as well as on-the-fly applications. Multiple laser sources can be integrated to execute several process steps on a-Si, µc-Si, CIGS or organic cells simultaneously.
Typical applications comprise laser ablation, laser isolation of cells or modules, laser scribing for monolithic integration and laser marking.
