The new StarCut generation stands for high cut quality and speed combined with compact design and attractive prices. The whole family has a modular design comprising high quality components. StarCut families include specially optimized laser sources and high-precision laser cutting machines for cutting of medical implants like stents or other precision workpieces. Finest sheets or foils with thicknesses of 0.1 mm can also be cut with high precision.
The power supply units with IGBT switches secure pulse frequencies of up to 4000 Hz and a unique pulse-to-pulse stability. The CAN-bus based controller guarantees safety and flexibility for all applications including pulse increments of 10 µs, a dynamic power control and an on-line trouble shooting function.
The laser resonator based on the proven StarMark rail concept offers high laser power with best beam brilliance. Depending on the application, TEM00, TEM10, TEM20 or fiber-coupled low order mode beam profiles are used. The fast shutter with a switch time below 10 ms allows cost-efficient cutting of holes.
In many areas, the StarCut series provides unmatched high cut qualities. Approx. 200 systems installed in the electronics, medical device and electrical engineering industries have set an industrial standard.
